I finished it. And I keep going back to look at it and fuss over one little thing or another, because there is always some cable — the whitest cable ever — showing up exactly where it shouldn’t, ruining that “gallery” feeling I’m trying so hard to achieve.
It’s a room inside the SHEVALET studio in Bistrița. A blue sofa, a round rug, a small table, two chairs and the best coffee in town.
On the walls: Sedimental. For now.
I had wanted, for a long time, a place where the works could sit as they should — at eye level, in good light and, most of all, with a little space around them.
Material doesn’t really make it through a screen. You need to be near it to actually see it. Preferably with the smell of good coffee somewhere in the background.
I needed it to be a place where we could sit.
You can sit down, look for as long as you like, ask questions if you feel like it. Or ask nothing at all. That works just as well.
The gallery is small. I called it “mini” out of honesty. There’s room for the works, a sofa and a few people who have time for one another.
The newest work usually sits on the easel. Until the next one comes along and takes its place. :)

So depending on when you visit, you might find something different.

See you here.
